Aniz Inc. is Hiring a Lead Navigator Near Atlanta, GA

The HIV and Substance Use Disorder Prevention Lead Navigator will conduct outreach and engagement to recruit Black youth and young adults ages 16 – 24 for HIV and substance use disorder services and provides eligible individuals with HIV testing services. The Lead Navigator helps clients enroll in HIV biomedical prevention services, including pre-exposure prophylaxis (“PrEP”) and post-exposure prophylaxis (“PEP”). Additionally, this candidate will supervise peer navigators, and collect data from program participants.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (This list may not include all the duties assigned.)

  • Implement an HIV testing strategy with Black/African American youth and young adults (16-24).
  • Work with clients at increased risk of HIV to assess eligibility for and enroll clients in PrEP and PEP
  • Assist with client charts, update records and input patient-level data.
  • Provide individual counseling/assessments for potential PrEP/PEP clients.
  • Collaborate bi-weekly with project director to identify client needs and generate innovative ideas to engage new clients in HIV testing, PrEP/PEP and other prevention services.
  • Participate in community events and meetings to recruit clients, identify resources, and build partnerships.
  • Support Project Director in implementing recruitment and enrollment strategies and benchmarks to ensure enrollment goals per program.
  • Capture, document and track all client recruitment activities in program database.
  • Track outreach outcomes in support of program goals and the strategic growth plan.
  • Participate in program and organizational meetings and activities.
  • Supervise peer navigators
  • Other duties may be assigned, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma required, or GED completed. Bachelor’s degree preferred in public health, social work, psychology, counseling, nursing, human services, or health education OR A minimum of three years conducting PrEP Navigation & HIV Testing to vulnerable populations with the aim of improving health outcomes.
  • Experience and specific training/ experience working with people living with HIV/AIDS & high-risk negative individuals.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong written and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to provide services to people of diverse races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, economic backgrounds, religions, ages, housing status, and physical abilities in a multicultural environment.

SALARY: Salary for this position is commensurate with education and experience (ranging from 38k- 42k). The position requires 22 hours per week.
